In my spare time I paint 12'x24' canvas and concentrate in guitar themes. I usually look for some form of inspiration and will change the style of the guitars to match. Rarely do I return to the same style twice.
After a trip to San Francisco and the MOMA I chose Pablo Picasso's still Life Guitar made out of card board for my inspiration.
I purchased the canvas and paint from Jerry's Artarama. Jerry seems to have the best prices and is much cheaper then retail stores even after S&H. For the paint I used acrylic.
I liked how the painting turned out and decided to work on a matching pair of shoes. After stripping the sheen on a white pair with some mineral spirits I applied the same acrylic paint. Not quite done and still a work in progress in my spare time.
